We notice by the Bartow Courier-
Informant that our friend, Mr. Al-
bertus Vogt, the “Duke of Dunnellon”,
the man who first discovered phosphate
in Florida and made fortunes for him-
self and others and built up a great
industry in the State out of the find;

a pleasant gentleman and one of the
most energetic citizens, has moved to
Bartow from Marion County and will
there engage in the real estate business.
Marion County’s loss is Polk County’s
gain.  Here is to him:  May he increase
his fortune as he will surely advance the
interests of his new made home, helping
as few may to build up the waste places
of fair Polk and adding increase to the
progressive little city of Bartow.
