It snowed yesterday, followed by some freezing rain and sleet, and the roads were not very safe to drive on. A lot of people were getting stuck and the emergency personnel were telling everyone to please avoid driving if at all possible.
I stayed in last night, and the power even went out for a couple of hours. I was a little worried that it could be a long-term power outage, but fortunately it was just in a small area and George power company was able to prioritize it and get it solved quickly!
Today is Saturday and it seems like the roads are dry, including driveways and sidewalks, so it feels like it’s reasonably safe to go out during the afternoon hours. But it’s very possible that there could be some icy conditions on the road this evening.

My mother’s personal care home is just down the street so I’m gonna try to make a drive over to see her as I think it’s gonna be relatively safe to do that.
