This seems like a cool idea and I’d get the opportunity to visit four countries. It looks like it would cost somewhere around $1300-$2000 round-trip for the airfare plus other expenses like ground transportation and hotel from Atlanta, Georgia. I might consider a trip like this in the next year or so. It looks like it would be cool and I can add some more countries to my list!
The Kazungula quadripoint area, where Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia meet, offers several fascinating attractions primarily focused on wildlife and nature. One of the main highlights is Victoria Falls, one of the largest and most impressive waterfalls in the world, located between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Visitors can engage in a variety of activities here, including bungee jumping, white-water rafting, and guided tours.
Chobe National Park in Botswana is another major attraction, known for its large elephant population as well as lions, hippos, and buffalo. Safari tours, both by jeep and boat along the Chobe River, are popular with visitors. The Zambezi River itself is famous for river cruises, fishing, canoeing, and wildlife viewing.
Kazungula Bridge, which connects Zambia and Botswana across the Zambezi River, is a relatively new landmark that offers an interesting glimpse into regional infrastructure and cooperation.
As for safety, the area is generally safe for tourists, especially in well-traveled spots like Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park. However, it’s always recommended to stay updated on local conditions, avoid remote areas without guides, and exercise caution when near wildlife. Using reputable tour operators and guides helps ensure a safe experience.
