I was speaking to a lady who had run a multi-million dollar translation service the other day. She has decided to sponsor us in he relatively new business, ballroom dance gowns. I ask her why she was sponsoring us when there are much better dancers out there. She said it was because we are nice people.
This struck a chord in me, and when I look at what I have done over the years, it was always the nice people that made the difference.
There have been less than nice people that I thought for one reason or another would be great customers or providers, but almost 100% of the time, these people failed me in some way.
There have been lots of nice people that maybe weren’t as tech savvy, or had less money, but I found that my relationships with these people often florished to the point that we were both successful.
Smart, honest people, that try hard at what they do cannot be underestimated. I would love to hear about your experiences too. Maybe together we can encourage this way of doing business. 😁
